Woop! Woop! It's paint time!

I realise I've been a bit quiet recently, but there really isonly so much I can say about plastering!  And, at one wall per evening (when we can be bothered), it is slow progress.
We have now got to the stage where we are replastering some of our earlier attempts which is slowing us down even further.

This weekend, however, did mark a new stage in the renovation project as we armed ourselves with paintbrushes and rollers for the first time.  It may only have been white paint and it may only have been the smallest room in the house but it's important to have a nice spot for your daily ablutions!!

I am slightly concerned that the decision to paint everything white is going to mean our home might look something like an asylum but I'm also pretty sure that the wee boys create enough chaos for that thought not to linger too long!

We have also been keeping any eye on the Focus-situation.  For those of you also embarking on DIY, you will know that Focus recently went into administration.  We have a Focus store in the next town so we have been making regular trips, waiting for the 'real' sale to commence.  This would appear to have happened this weekend as the car park was full and the queue for the checkouts never-ending.  It was worth the effort though as all the paint was at least half price so we stocked up!  I don't think I've ever decided on paint colours so quickly - lets hope they are vaguely similar to the colour on the label when it comes to getting them on the wall.
