The Wee Boys Involvement

“Mummy, what you doing?”

Removing the wallpaper son,

Would you like to help?

It’s really good fun!

“What Mummy doing?”

Using a scraper.

“Why Mummy doing?”

To remove the paper.

“What’s Daddy doing?”

He’s out digging clay.

“Can we go outside

and play?”

“Daddy, why’s the door standing there?”

To stop people falling in the hole – have a care.

“but Daddy, I just walk round here,

I can even jump in the hole”

I have no fear.

Later...

The boys are in bed,

Daddy and I are fed.

We pick up our tools and

Switch on the steamer.

The wee boys are pretty sound dreamers.

The hammer can bang,

The drill can whine,

But the wee boys seem

To sleep just fine.
